THE PAINTING REPRESENTS THE WORK OF SALVADOR DALI’ “THE CHRIST OF ST. JOHN OF THE CROSS. MADE IN TOLEDO USING A TECHNIQUE THAT IS MORE THAN 2,000 YEARS OLD. THE PAINTING IS BEATEN ON A PREVIOUSLY SCRATCHED COPPER PLATE TO ALLOW THE GILDING TO ADHERE AND FORM A SINGLE BODY. CREDAN AND ITS LUXURY ARTISANS ARE A BENCHMARK IN THE WORLD FOR THEIR EXPERTISE WITH THIS ANCIENT CRAFT. THE PLATE IS THEN EMBELLISHED WITH A WOODEN FRAME THAT BRINGS OUT THE WARM TONES OF GOLD.
