Description
Porcelain statue of Nike of Samothrace with gold leaf wings. The Nike of Samothrace dates to about 190 B.C. and is in the Louvre Museum in Paris. It is made of Parian marble and is 328 cm high. The statue of Nike (goddess of Victory),nearly 2.5 meters tall to the neck, was found in 1863 on the island of Samothrace (North Aegean).
